Paul Lopez Big Band arrangements of Billy Mitchell compositions. These works were recorded by the H.M.A Salsa/Jazz Orchestra, under the direction of Bobby Rodriguez (California Salsa and California Salsa II –Sea Breeze Records). Medium difficulty, excellent for all High School and College Jazz Bands.

“As The City Sleeps” – Beautiful contemporary groove ballad. Features: trumpet and piano, flute doubles. Strong vamp out can feature selected soloist.

“It Could Only Be You” – This tune captures the contemporary groove with a strong Latin feel. Solos: piano and flute, exciting out chorus.

“Serengeti” – Multi-rhythmic chart (conga part can be performed by the drummer) Majestic Afro-Cuban interpretation of the African landscape. Solos: Tenor sax, Trumpet and Percussion.

“Love In The Redwoods” – Caribbean flavored composition with Reggae beat: Solos: Trumpet (Sax and Keys optional) Exciting out chorus which features Percussion.
